I wanted to learn how to make beautiful things.
With no expertise or formal training in woodworking, I worked on my skills by doing projects for my own home,
As a homeowner, there was always an opportunity to head into the garage and fulfill one of the many tasks around the house my wife wanted me to complete. A desk here, shelves there, Once, an entire library in the basement.
Using some of the tools I already had, and a lot of patience, I eventually was able to start crafting things that my wife would say “ok” instead of just “meh”. I knew I was on a roll. Many years later, and I have developed skills, and a relationship with wood and tools that I love, and am passionate about.
